Mages can be a most dangerous foe or a useful ally. Mages can cast both spells of healing and spells of damage. Mages don't rely on brute strength instead opting for a more intelectual approach to combat. Intelligence is the mages greatest asset. Only when he can out think the enemy can he overcome. Mages are another common character and can be easily turned into a roleplaying character. Mages can come in all varieties, some are "wicked", others benevolent, and still others are of the crazy sort. Whichever you choose, be sure to act the part.
