UO: The Second Age News
Dec. 9, 1999 - Additions
This is some old news, but I am going to post the information regarding TKI's claim to the new land on this page. I made a few changes to the pages, but nothing that would warrant going through to look at the pages. I haven't updated this page in a while, but that needs to change.

Jan. 8, 1999 - New Update
The new age is remaining house-free for now, I am about to design the layout for a city as I get farther along I shall post it here. One thing I am uphaulled at is the lack of quest which have taken place in the new lands. I shall also be updating all of the sections this weekend. Its time to get things back on track here.

Oct. 30, 1998 - T2A is in the House!
Today I received my copy of UO:T2A. Everything went great with the installation, and I just need to dive in now. It was surprising because I ordered it last friday, with normal delivery and I didn't expect to get it this soon. Also, I receive no e-mail from Origin with a tracking #. Anyways I change the background color so that if pictures are turned off it still look okay (A major oversight on the UO website :)

Oct. 23, 1998 - Beta Test comes to an end.
The beta test of the Second Age came to an end today. Also in the latest news it has been confirmed that the first set of preoredered Second Ages was shipped today and will be arriving, for those who ordered overnight deliver, Monday. Lord British ended the Beta Test today with a speech, which was apparently followed by an event of sorts involving an undead army (Although it seems that some people never caught wind of it). Here is the exact text of the speech.

Greetings, Brave Explorers and Adventurers! What began under the twin moons, Felucca and Trammel, a full cycle ago now draws to a close. Nay, actually, not a close. Rather, a new beginning! For within days, the new lands that you have so bravely pioneered shall begin to thrive in the gentle hands of all Britannians who choose to bring their works there. Our adventures in the new lands have as a sapling sprouted, but have yet to show green. For our efforts to bear fruit, the new lands will need to be tended by every woman and man with the same bright spirit that drove our first expedition to those lands. Though CrawWorth, Xarot, Caitlin and the others appear to have sacrificed everything in opening this land to you and I, their efforts are not forgotten, nor have they gone to waste. With similar resolve and valor, we shall build that land into a new territory, complete with new cities, new areas to build homes, and we shall create for ourselves vast opportunities there. For now, no homes shall be built in the new lands. But as we tame the savagery that has been found there, expansion of our homes and shops will quickly follow. Thanks ye Any citizen of Britannia who wishes it may seek a Writ of Expansion that will allow access to the boundless possibilities of the new lands. Our future there is in thy hands and in the hands of any others who heed this cry. Let the valleys tremble as our footsteps echo across them, and let our voices rise as one as we make those lands our own! He seems to have left The event is the opening of te lands to everyone though I hear there are those who oppose that and have heard rumors of undead mounting an army I know not exactly what will come in the following hour but I do know that it matters not we shall open these lands to all! Fare well friends! And thank thee all!!!!

From discovery to Oct. 22, 1998 - Are you ready to RRRUUUUUMMMMBBBBLLLEEEE!!!
Vroom! Vroom! Start your engines because UO:T2A is in its final stages of development. This is going to be a very long update because it is the first and a lot has gone on. They have spent the past week dilligently updating their servers to handle the new areas in this add-on. In addition, Origin has lifted the NDA on all beta-testers so it is now okay to give away info on the new lands. Basically I saw few changes in the new lands. Of course, there were new monsters and stuff but nothing really spectacular, the land is set-up so that there are many open plains, but they all seem to be hilly so it would be impossible to place any houses on them! Also, it is very annoying because there are a sort of strips of land all across the open spaces and, besides in a few hard to find spots, immpossible to pass. This got very annoying, especially when running away from Ophidian Warriors. The graphics are very nice and there are some neat buildings and architecture (Don't want to spoil all the cool stuff :-) ). I was surprised that the ocean comprised about a fifth of the new lands. Another compliment goes to the entrances. They are actual physical caves, that must be traversed. In other UO news- UO is only $6.99 for those who already own UO "Yea!" *cheers*. It should be fun to see how things develope in the following days
