Hail Citizens of Sosaria:
Dec. 25th was the day when I first washed upon the shores of this land. As I
was nursed back to health, I began to envision rebuilding my homeland. Rebuilding
an empire based on knowledge and understanding, not predjudice and violence. That is when
I decided that I must rebuild here in this land. I knew the monsters who had destroyed
my homeland and I did not want the same fate to befall the people of Britannia.
I did not know much about this land when I arrived here, but I soon learned. I discovered
that there were many social conflicts occuring in this land. I saw friends turned to enemies
and people of evil harass those who had caused them no harm. But, these were the bad times.
As my stay extended in this land I found people who did not care for profit or revenge,
their eyes did not burn with a lust for battle. These people were the true fabric of the
land. I knew that the injustices must be fought, so I tried to establish a group of guilds to
fight this evil. Alas, I was not ready for the awesome resposibility and the loose allaince
was torn apart before it had begun.
My main goal was still at hand though and I slowly began to recruit members to help me rebuild
the Imperium. They were and are still people of great character and true avatars of their time!
The Krosis Imperium, flourished with the placing of two settlements! All of this happening during
a time of great political upheaval with new laws being imposed daily, but the Krosis Imperium endured.
All good things must come to an end, and so was the growth of the Krosis Imperium. Our guild hit a stone
wall and recruiting stopped suddenly. Those already within the ranks remained loyal to our cause, but
expansion stopped. During this time was when one of Sosaria's greatest threats appeared, the Followers of
Armageddon! This was a time of great worry, pain, and suffering. Many did not know if they would wake up
to see the morning sunrise, or smell the scent of fresh baked bread again. However, something truly
amazing occured. The people of Britannia put aside their differences to rise up like a wave to meet this
common enemy. But were they truly our enemy? The line between good and evil soon became blurred.
The members of the FOA used the most powerful weapon of all against the people of Sosaria, words!
And soon people began to listen. Their words were so potent that people began to turn against their friends
and kin. The social problems from before the arrival of the FOA again drove a wedge into the unity of
Sosaria. This new enemy was no longer viewed as the threat to our existance that it actually was, but
as a method for people to gain political power and strike at the reign of Lord British. The realm was on
the brink of civil war, members of the FOA were captured, and then broken out of their bonds later. But then
a tactical error on the part of the FOA causes us to regain the upper hand. The Followers went into hiding for an
extended period. It was during this time that emotions had a chance to cool and the effort to help the FOA lost steam.
As the peoples' heads cleared they were able to analyze the actions of the FOA and see that these people truly were evil.
Fighting this common enemy sapped much of the time of the Imperium and this contributed to the lack of expansion during
this time.
But the hope to one day rebuild the glorious Krosis Imperium lived on. One side-effect of the FOA was their unintentional
opening of the New Lands. While Lord British was still sending in his crew to scout the land, the Krosis Imperium sent in their
own scouts to find out as much as possible about the new land. For a three month period, before the lands were opened to the
public, the scouts swept the land and amassed an enormous wealth of knowledge. It was then that I saw the an opportunity
for the Krosis Imperium to rebuild the empire that it lost. It is then that the Krosis Imperium made a bold claim
to land in the New World. The claim was met by those who felt the Imperium was looking to gain power, while others simply met the
claim with hatred and violence. Although the claim still stands today, the Imperium needs the blessings of Lord British
and his administration to continue with their grand scheme to rebuild the Imperium.
As time goes on, people tend to forget about past actions and so was the case with our claim; this
was especially true when the FOA reappeared. It was clear to all now that the FOA were truly evil and
the tide against them was unsurpassable. Soon the reign of terror started by the FOA would come to an end.
Meanwhile, the Krosis Imperium continued to get a foot in the door of the New World and made preparations for
a journey to open diplomatic relations with the Great Ophidian Empire. This action was met by violence from the
Opidians, but only because our intentions were not made clear to them and they feared us. Now, the Imperium has Andross
the Explorer to help negotiate with the Ophidians. It is the hope of the Krosis Imperium to gain a strong ally
in the Ophidians and allow the Krosis Imperium to expand into the New World non-violently.
This year has been a wonderful year for the Krosis Imperium. We have completed many of the tasks that
we set out to complete and our guild has formed a loyal bond with each other. In addition, we helped to
prevent the evil plans of the FOA and saw a new land emerge. The Krosis Imperium has shown that we are not
a guild of power or violence but a guild centered on peace with our neighbors and unity. But there is much
more that still needs to be completed. The Imperium has not even begun to achieve its dream. There is much more
to be done and in the following year I hope to complete many of these tasks. The Imperium will continue to sponser
humanitarian efforts and again strive to thwart evil. We will attempt to build the first colony within
the New Lands, and ensure that it is long lasting and helpful to travellers within that land. Finally, the Imperium
shall try to expands its numbers so that it will have the human resources to accomplish these goals. Once these are
completed the Imperium will have set great stones with which to rebuild itself to its former glory.
